About

Born and raised in Seoul, the English name Jay Jang was simply given to me by foreign friends who found my Korean name difficult to pronounce in a professional and international work setting. Since childhood, I enjoyed drawing and wanted to become a painter. However, I chose the path of an architect. Around the age of thirty, I transitioned into becoming a VFX artist, which brings me to where I am today. Starting around the time just before the COVID-19 pandemic, I have been sharing on social media my personal TESTs, along with memories of my walking companion, my dog Minky, and writings I wish to remember.

서울에서 나고 자랐으며 Jay Jang 이라는 영어이름은 단순히 해외관련 업무의 직업적 차원에서 본명의 발음을 어려워한 외국인 친구들이 지어준 것임을 밝힙니다. 어려서부터 그림그리기를 좋아하여 화가가 되려고 했으나 건축가의 길을 택했고 서른 즈음에 다시 VFX Artist의 길로 접어들어 현재에 이르고 있으며 대략 코로나 팬데믹 전 즈음에서 시작한 개인적인 TEST들과 산책의 동반자 강아지 "밍키" 기억하고 싶은 글들을 SNS에 저장하고 있습니다.
